He said Peace!

The bits and pieces of this came to me in the wee hours of the morning and I got up to complete it. Hope you like it.

He said Peace!

He said Peace(sister)!
And I blushed.
I hadn’t realized before now just how much I liked a conscious man.
He said Peace(sister)!
And I smiled. It had a calming effect on me. As if he was speaking it into being.
He said Peace(sister)!
I found myself searching for it with him. I found that I found it with him.

He said Peace(lover)!
Such simple words had a great ability to enrage me. My fury bubbled over.
He said Peace(lover)!
Was I at fault for wanting to fix things rather than pretend they were ok?
He said Peace(lover)!
I fought against it. I could not be still! I wanted no part of his Peace! Until we worked through the storm.

He said Peace(Queen)!
My eyes could not contain the brook that began to descend my visage.
He said Peace(Queen)!
I wanted to apologize for all the time I’d wasted.
He said Peace(Queen)!
I watched his eyes lose their light and was chagrined that I begrudged him his Peace!
He said

And I knew that he had found-
Peace!

Very nice, Goddess or as I would put it "Well done, soldier."

I love how you married the concept of "peace" to all these different relationships (sister, lover, queen) but it got me to thinking...how can you find peace?

Emerson said "Peace cannot be achieved through violence, it can only be attained through understanding" & at first it made me smile..."at first", that is.

In HANNIBAL's world, peace is the by product of war & suffering & through battle & the conquering of my enemies is peace ever attained. I am a warrior, a revolutionary, a general. To find peace, one must find victory & it exits as the remains on my battlefield.
