On today's addition of Sing-A-Long Saturday I want to share a song that has been on my most played list for a while now. As you know, last weeks Smart Sunday showcased the lovely Miss Coco Jones. This song is a collaboration with Big Rec that features Coco Jones. It's called Can We Talk. To me this song is the essence of the hip hop that I miss so much.
To quote Big Rec and his RHHIB movement, Real Hip Hop IS Back!
Big Rec is current on the Summer Of Sum Tour. Click here to get more info and purchase you're tickets!

Smart Sunday- Coco Jones
Hello all you smart and beautiful people!
On this Smart Sunday I would like to introduce you to Ms. Coco Jones
She is the next wave in the revolution of music. This beautiful young lady is a singer, song writer, rapper and graphic designer. Coco Jones is no stranger to the music industry. The first time I saw her perform I was not prepared for the full spectrum of Ms Coco Jones' talent. I suppose I could tell you all about her amazing vocal range, her versatile rap style and her energetic performances. I could but I don't believe I would effectively convey in words what it is to see her in the flesh. I would suggest that you find her in a town near you on the 54 Weeks Tour (www.54weeks.com).
“It may seem crazy to pick up and leave everything familiar to go on a year-long tour to others, but I’m on this journey to better myself as an artist and as an individual. The tour is a self-funded, grassroots tour much like what many Rock Bands do to be heard. I and 4 other solo artists packed into a van and we’re making it happen on our own, i.e. Bookings, Management, Recording, Packaging, Promo...everything. I believe I need to invest that in myself first before I expect anyone else to do so.”

Jones is taking the tour as an opportunity to perform and push material from “Customs” as well as new solo project, “Anticipating”, and Mixtape, “Nosce Temet: Know Thyself”.
Coco’s vocals can be heard on a number of independently released projects with artists including BIGREC, THE-5IVE, Collin Gibson, Jawz of Life, Shred the Verbal Tongue, Dangerous Rob, Phurious Stlyes, IMA, and on well knowns like Baby aka Birdman’s album '5 Star Stunna', on the opening track “Fully Loaded”.
Given the sensuality of Janet Jackson, the charisma and edge of Pink, the essence & soul of Mary J. Blige and Aretha Franklin,
and the lyrical prowess of Lauryn Hill, songwriter, vocalist and emcee, CoCo Jones represents the next level of classic music.

Monday Motivation
Good Morning!I find that of all the days in the week, Mondays are hardest to get started. Can you relate? Even if you love Mondays (O_o) you should be able to relate to this thought.
Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.
Albert Einstein
That's right. People doubted, opposed and didn't support Albert Einstein, accepted genius. It's OK if the world, your friends or your family do not immediately understand what it is your striving for.
You just keep moving forward. Eventually they will get on board... or they will get lost.
Stay motivated this Monday. Use it as an opportunity to get closer to where you want to be.
Make today great!

Smart Sunday- Shannon Dee
Hello every one!
On this the inaugural Smart Sunday I would like to introduce you Ms. Shannon Dee.
Shannon is beautiful, smart and very talented. When I first met Shannon it was at a model function. Shannon stood out to me because she was intelligent and friendly. She also had a kind word for every person she came in contact with. She is such a great person both inside and out. When asked to tell the world a bit about herself the modest Ms. Dee had this to say:
"What are we doing today Brain?" lol! Right now i'm still in school... working on my Masters. I'll be graduating in December. New Projects... i'm modeling, still attempting to get more into the high fashion scene. I'm taking acting classes so I can hopefully get a principle speaking role in a film this year. We will see how this goes. I'm starting out as a movie reviewer on Examiner.com. (http://www.examiner.com/movie-in-atlanta/shannon-walker) And I just finished my first book, an inspirational story titled "Learning Life's Lessons" which will hopefully be published either this year or early next year. I plan on attending law school next year. And i also plan to to possibly do some coaching/speaking/consulting. Basically wherever God is taking me is where I'll be. :-)
Get to know Ms. Shannon Dee even better by following her on twitter @IamShannonDee
I'm sure you'll agree that she is indeed a bona-fide Pretty Smart young lady. Also check out this feature on her by Miles Jackson.
